Sardine oil

It is said that mixing it with fishing bait (chumming) such as krill improves the bite rate, so it is often used as a fish attractant when fishing for large fish.
It is also widely used in squid and octopus fishing by coating the jigs (squid lures) with sardine oil.

Fish oils used as fish attractants (fish-attracting oils) have included herring oil and sand eel oil. In the past, squid oil was used, but sardine oil, which is relatively inexpensive and readily available, is currently popular.

The "sardine oil" is a "fish oil primarily made from sardines," and is not 100% sardine oil.
Please note that this product is not edible (not for consumption).

[Precautions for use]
  • This oil is for industrial use and does not have an expiration date, but it oxidizes quickly. Store it in a place away from light and heat, and use it promptly after opening.
  • When the temperature drops, the contents may solidify and float or settle at the bottom, but they will return to their original liquid state when heated in a water bath.
  • Please handle with care, as the odor may be difficult to remove if it comes into contact with skin or clothing.
