(PRICE w/o GST) - SEAGUAR FLUOROCARBON LINE 150M / 130M
Why Anglers Choose This Particular Box
While Seaguar makes "fancy" versions like Tatsu or AbrazX, this "Original Seaguar" is the workhorse of the lineup for a few reasons:
-
Multipurpose: It is soft enough to be used as a mainline on finesse spinning reels (BFS/Ajing/Trout) but tough enough to be a leader for light saltwater applications.
-
Double Structure Technology: Seaguar uses a unique process where they bond two different fluorocarbon resins together—a hard interior for strength and a softer exterior for better knot seating.
-
Value: Because it is a 150m spool, it is much more cost-effective than buying 30m "leader-specific" spools.
Pro-Tip for this Line
Since this is 100% Fluorocarbon, it is denser than water and sinks. If you are using this as a leader for topwater lures (like poppers or walkers), keep your leader short (under 12 inches). Otherwise, the weight of the line will pull the nose of your lure down and ruin the action. For anything sub-surface (jigs, cranks, plastics), it is perfect!

-
Knot Strength vs. Tensile Strength: Seaguar lists "Knot Strength" ($kg$) on this specific JDM box. This is a more conservative and realistic rating than "straight-line tensile strength" used by many Western brands.
-
Double Structure: Even in this economy spool, Seaguar uses a dual-resin process. The interior is a high-density polymer for strength, while the exterior is slightly softer to allow knots to "bite" and lock without slipping.
-
Soft Tension Winding: If you look at the spool, the line isn't crushed. This prevents "flat spots" in the fluorocarbon, which helps it cast smoother if you use it as a mainline.
